What we believe
The teachers, administrators and staff at the Young U Montessori School are united in the strength of the Montessori Method of Learning whose hallmarks were developed by Maria Montessori:
- Children learn at their own natural rate of development, and guided by their interests
- Multiage class groupings that foster peer learning
- Uninterrupted blocks of work time using didactic, self-correcting educational materials
- Guided choice of work activity that allow freedom of choice within parameters
- Students are part of a close, caring community
No two students have exactly the same skills or learning style. That is why each child is encouraged to go at their own pace. Our school respects children as self-directed individuals and foster their growth toward independence and social responsibility, while creating a joyful, diverse and family-oriented community.
